An invitation to Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo) holders to visit three tourist attractions free of charge was condemned yesterday. All they have to do is provide proof of their court orders to gain free admission to the Dungeon in London, York or Edinburgh. Once inside, their misdemeanours are announced to other visitors, who will have the chance to pardon them before a "judge" decides their fate and a "priest" reads the last rites.

Any Asbo holders choosing to visit the London Dungeon can have a turn on the Drop Ride to Doom, which plunges 13 feet and is supposed to show what public hangings in the 18th century were like.

The scheme has been criticised as a reward for bad behaviour because law-abiding citizens have to pay admission prices ranging from £8.95 for children to £19.95 for adults.
